THE INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION
The Composition Competition consists of two main Sections :
1. Symphonic Music
Orchestra size may not exceed:
| 14 violins I | 12 violins II | 10 violas | 8 cellos | 6 double-basses |
| 3 flutes | 3 clarinets | 3 oboes | 3 bassoons |
| 4 french horns | 3 trumpets | 3 trombones | 1 tuba |
| timpans + 3 percussion groups |
| harp | piano | celesta | glockenspiel | harmonium | synthesizer |
2. Chamber Music
Compositions for a group of 1 to 10 performers, with or without vocal participation.
The duration of a piece for each section must be not less than 10 minutes and not more than 40 minutes.
The scores shall be submitted under a Motto.
The compositions shall be sent in an envelope before July 1st, 2014, under the same Motto which appears on the score, to the following address:

Mentioning: For the George Enescu International Composition Competition
The application shall include:
• Copy of Birth Certificate/ID/Passport
• Curriculum Vitae (Times New Roman/12/1.5)
• Contact details
• One current photograph in digital format (high resolution)
• Letter of recommendation provided by an outstanding professor
• Bank receipt certifying the payment of the participation fee
The submitted compositions shall not have been performed in public hitherto. Any score or envelope which shows the name of the competitor and is not submitted under a Motto will be disqualified.The compositions will be evaluated by an international Jury.
